Terrain Anchor
A Terrain Anchor is a monument attribute: Rust's own anchor, in your monument. When Rust's map generator places the monument, the anchors set how high it sits. The panel shows when you select an anchor in an open monument. Add one from the Procedural folder of the Content Browser.
At each anchor, the generator reads the ground. The anchor accepts a height range: the ground height, lowered by Offset, plus or minus Extents. The monument must fit the ranges of all its anchors, or the spot fails. The generator puts it at the height where its anchors sit, on average, on the ground, inside that shared range. Radius checks the ground in a circle around the point too, so the range must fit all of it. Slope Scale makes Extents and Offset larger when the monument is tilted, up to 1 + Slope Scale times at 90 degrees.
In the scene view, an anchor is a small diamond with an upright line. The ticks at the ends of the line show the height range the ground may be in, so with an Offset above 0 the line sits higher than the point. A circle shows the Radius when it is more than 0. Extents and Offset grow with the monument's height scale.

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Extents# | Number | How far above or below the ground this point may end up, in metres |
| Offset# | Number | Puts this point lower than the ground by this many metres |
| Radius# | Number | Also checks the ground in this radius around the point, in metres. 0 checks the point only |
| Slope Scale# | Number | More room on a slope: when the monument is tilted 90 degrees, the extents and offset are 1 + this many times larger |
